Suggestion Box
I feel dizzy. Was sitting in the buttery with friends and the background noise seemed exceptionally loud and I couldn't entirely hear what they were saying. I feel all wobbly, especially if I run. I thought it could be low blood sugar at one point but I now doubt that as it seems more random. It occured Thursday night (during hall) Saturday morning, Sunday morning and this evening. Suggestions welcome. It is not so bad except sooner or later I will run into something as I can't run in a straight line. I doubt it has anything to do with having eaten excessive quantities of jelly in the past few days (nearly 8 pints, but in only 4 sittings... mmm) anyhow, am not too worried. Am too lazy to go to the nurse so I am using my blog as alternative medical advice, after all, I may as well put it to *good* use

Go to the Nurse girl, don't be so lazy. She'll probably tell you to drink more water and eat more fruit, though.

According to Google, it could be some kind of viral ear infection if it isn't low blood pressure/sugar... but yeah, probably worth seeing the nurse if it continues.
Take care of yourself, please don't walk into any lamp posts dear!
love & orange-flavoured jelly

I say go to the nurse as well. I would tell you, "It's probably nothing!" - which is what I'd tell myself if it was me - but think, if you ask the nurse and she says the same, you can actually *believe* her. Whereas I will probably walk into a lamppost and kill myself soon so trusting me is a bit more dangerous.
Feel better soon anyway xx

Well, other than this morning I was feeling okay today. Nevertheless I wil l try and see the nurse tomorrow, and if I can't make it, definately Wednesday. Maybe it is an ear infection, although my ears feel fine... at any rate I am not getting worse. Thank you all for your concern. I don't know where Jason got his information from, when I put my symptoms into google I got a website about cycling and a link that had expired... I feel I must have been doing something wrong to get information quite that useless. Needless to say much jelly was in order to comfort myself in this time of uncertainty and negligible illness.

Just got back from seeing the nurse. I don't have an infection, nor blood pressure problems (though apparently mine is low, reassuring in exam term :-D)... so from the symptoms it appears I have/had viral labarynthitus, which means there is nothing you can do about it except drink lots of water and sleep lots
hooray
Maggie must be the nicest nurse ever, I am so educated now about the workings of my inner ear...

Hooray, water! Water is good. It makes you feel happy, healthy AND virtuous ... I need to drink more of it these days, every time I go for a glass it seems I accidentally buy a cup of coffee instead :-S
Very glad to hear you don't have an infection or blood pressure problems but make sure you take care of yourself!
Toast is wonderful, in fact I think it is the carbohydratey equivalent of water and oranges. If you are sick, sad, lonely, lazy, hungover, happy, busy or just hungry, toast is there to comfort you and solve the problem. And marmite on brown toast is the best of all!
Hope you're feeling a lot better now,
love and water and oranges,
rachel xx
