Obituary

I miss Marty the Aphid.

He used to live on my desk last term when I used to have plants on my window ledge.

He used to hop all over the keyboard and on my books. I used to carefully put him off the desk so I wouldn't squish him accidentally. And then he'd come back.

Above is a photo I took of him one night he kept distracting me.

Then when I went home for Easter. One late night, reading Cases and Materials on International Law, by DJ Harris, I discover the unimaginable - at the bottom of page 972 - a squished aphid.

Poor fellow.
