Suggestion Box

I feel dizzy. Was sitting in the buttery with friends and the background noise seemed exceptionally loud and I couldn't entirely hear what they were saying. I feel all wobbly, especially if I run. I thought it could be low blood sugar at one point but I now doubt that as it seems more random. It occured Thursday night (during hall) Saturday morning, Sunday morning and this evening. Suggestions welcome. It is not so bad except sooner or later I will run into something as I can't run in a straight line. I doubt it has anything to do with having eaten excessive quantities of jelly in the past few days (nearly 8 pints, but in only 4 sittings... mmm) anyhow, am not too worried. Am too lazy to go to the nurse so I am using my blog as alternative medical advice, after all, I may as well put it to *good* use

Then I can make snow cakes. Failing that I have lots of jelly I can make, raspberry or strawberry. Jelly is wonderful.

Leaf Litter

It's not everyday and old tree says hi

But it was today

And it makes you realise that sometimes you do eventually learn from your mistakes.

And that the dead old trees make detritus to feed new trees, and other foliage and wildlife for that matter

And that snails are happy when they have detritus, and if snails are happy then the world is a great place.

PEZ PEZ PEZ

How to load a PEZ dispenser:

These images were taken from the PEZ website - go visit folks! www.pez.com. It is most educational. I have to say however, I have mastered the art of getting all the PEZ into the dispenser at once, without touching them, straight for the packet. As lets be honest, if you put each one in the dispenser by hand, it is a bit manky to then offer one to someone else if you are a particularly unclean person.

In other news, I love PEZ

I only have 2 packets of PEZ left!

O woe is me!

As I write this my PEZ stocks are being depleted by a hinky little fairy.

I like the way all the little PEZ bricks have the word "PEZ" on them.

Anyhow, researching PEZ; it turns out the name PEZ was derived from the German word for peppermint, Pfefferminz, the first PEZ flavour.

Furthermore: "PEZ Dispensers are part of popular culture in many nations."
Those must be great countries to live in, unlike here were PEZ are not widely sold.

PEZ was invented in 1927 in Vienna by a confectioner named Eduard Haas III. Haas produced PEZ dispensers to hold the mints, the first dispensers (known as "regulars") being small tins similar in shape to cigarette lighters, and marketed the mints as an alternative to smoking. In 1955, after the introduction of PEZ to the USA, the PEZ company placed heads on the dispensers and marketed the product for children. Santa Claus, Mickey Mouse and Spacetrooper were among the first character dispensers.

- Wow, aren't PEZ amazing! It's like eating little bricks of history, nostalgia, and popular culture, dispensed from another favourite - the lighter. I like orange flavour best.
